On September 29, 2009, Atlas America, Inc., completed a merger whereby its subsidiary, Atlas Energy Resources, LLC (“ATN”), became a wholly-owned subsidiary. In conjunction with the merger, all ATN unitholders received 1.16 shares of ATLS stock for each ATN unit owned. Atlas America, Inc. has changed its name to Atlas Energy, Inc. (NASDAQ: ATLS).
Going forward, Atlas Energy, Inc. will continue to be one of the leading natural gas production companies in Appalachia and Michigan, as well as one of the leading producers in the Marcellus Shale in southwestern Pennsylvania. Atlas Energy, Inc.’s new website,
